Previte’s Marketplace Logo Design

For several generations Previte’s Marketplace has been supplying families on the South Shore & nearby towns with the best available meats, poultry, veal, specialty items, and fully cooked items. As they expand to a 2nd location in Hanover, Massachusetts they were looking to refresh the growing Previte’s brand that, in addition to its growing footprint, is hoping to increase visibility of their wholesale items sold in grocery chains around the state.

Developing the Previte’s brand was a year-long project in the making that looks to bind the history of this family market with their connection to the South Shore, starting in 1963. Their focus has always revolved around family and community, so when designing the elements for this growing brand we kept that top-of-mind every step of the way.

The final design is meant to strengthen the already deep roots between Previte’s and the South Shore community, as well as provide a familiar look and feel to those new to the brand. During our initial meeting with Joe Previte where we developed the brief, he laid out a beautiful array of thoughts, ideas and stories the revolved around the Previte’s staff and loyal customers. In finalizing his thoughts Joe capped it off with a simple passing, yet impactful line that summarized why Previte’s exists: “At Previte’s feeding people is the best thing in the world”. Our hope is that the logo we designed can serve as a visual extension of just that.
